Welcome to Verseo Wellness & Beauty Store

Who does not love a Spa Day? Probably the 90% of us that would need to eat beans and rice for a month after splurging on such a luxury. They are great. Please give your mother one. But there is no need to wait for that lavish gift that may never come to indulge in a Spa Day At Home. Here are five ways to get that Spa Feel, without that Spa-How-Much-Was-That-Tip! pit in your stomach. At Verseo, we are all about Spa At Home….

1. Set the mood.

To get the mood right you need the following: Candles, Low Lights, Fluffy Robe, Enya (or whatever, quit judging), and some refreshing Cucumber Water set out for after bath time. Want a  great recipe for refreshing cucumber water?

1 medium cucumber scrubbed well

1 quarts spring water

Remove strips of cucumber skin, creating 1/2-inch-wide alternating bands of peeled and bare cucumber. Trim and discard ends. Halve cucumber lengthwise; cut into 1/2-inch slices. Combine cucumber and water in large pitcher; steep for 1 hour, and serve over ice.

2. Bath Time with a Sugar Scrub

Sugar Scrub make you feel dreamy soft after. I once did this before a fancy wedding and I swear I couldn’t stop touching my skin the whole night it was so lovely and smooth. So draw a bath (remember that Enya), soak a bit and then gently rub the scrub over arms, legs, torso. Especially on your feet and hands, you will be amazed. Try this Coconut & Lime sugar scrub recipe. If I didn’t have things like kid pick up, I would go do one right now. Makes me want a mojito just thinking of this. Oh, and a tip, buy Coconut Oil unrefined. It’s better for you. If you’ve never tried coconut oil, it’s a magical ingredient. When cold it’s more like a balm, but when heated (even rubbed between fingers), it quickly turns into a lovely oil.

Coconut-Lime Sugar Scrub

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 3/4 cup unrefined granulated sugar
  • zest of one lime
  • 2 tbsp. fresh lime juice
  • lime and/or coconut flavoring/essentials oils (optional)

Place all the ingredients in a bowl and stir. As mentioned, may not have to warm up the coconut oil in the microwave for a few depending on the temperature. Summertime, probably fine as is, in the winter, heat it up a bit. You may need to play around with the mix of sugar to oil depending on how smooth you like it. Also, I prefer the unrefined granulated sugar better, but regular granulated sugar will also work.

3. Rinse and Repeat… Coconut Oil Hair Conditioner

OK, it’s time to get out of that bath and into your shower for a cool rinse off. Now you get to use that same coconut oil in your hair. It can help restore and reduce damage in no time. You are going to come out of this experience like a mermaid princess…

Coconut Oil DIY Hair Conditioner

  • 1 tbsp. Organic Coconut Oil
  • 1 tbsp. Organic Raw Honey
  • Sauce Pan
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Towel
  • Shower Cap (optional)

The mask can be applied to dry or wet hair, although I think it’s easier to apply to wet hair. Also, consider warming it up to help open the follicles in your scalp. Have a towel around your neck to protect your clothes while applying the mask. Section your hair off and apply generously from top to bottom, focusing on ends where the most damage occurs. Wrap your hair in a bun and let the mask soak in for 30-40 minutes. Still have that Enya happening? Well go get on that fluffy towel and sit and relax and read those celebrity magazine that your spouse hates. Remember, it’s SPA AT HOME…. Wash the mask out in the shower using your regular shampoo and conditioner routine and voila! Have to put in a pitch here, think of trying our Hair Plus Hair Growth Shampoo and Conditioner. Fast Hair Growth, great set… just a tip.

4. Final Touch… Lemon Exfoliator

OK, you’re not done yet. If you’ve been sneaking in five minute showers here and there, you need to continue the exfoliation process. Especially on your elbows and knees. Yes you’re a mermaid but you don’t want scales… So after you’ve rinsed off your hair, get a half lemon and just rub it over your elbows and knees for about five minutes. The plus is that you’ll smell lemon-y fresh! {And don’t forget to go sip on that cucumber water}. You can go a step further and mix it with olive oil, honey and sugar as a secondary scrub. Also, these scrubs put in cute mason jars with bakers twine make darling hostess gifts.

5. Consider investing in Spa At Home tools.
